Kaeser and Hope Air Systems Co-Sponsor Seminar
On Compressed Air Systems September 24, 2009

Northborough MA (09-03-2009) – Kaeser Compressor and Hope Air Systems are sponsoring a one-day Compressed Air Seminar, on Thursday, September 24, 2009, for compressor operators seeking help on how to evaluate and optimize the performance of existing and proposed compressed air systems. Those expected to sign up for the seminar include plant engineers, operating managers, maintenance supervisors and consulting engineering firms.

According to Peter Rhoten, President of Hope Air Systems, the technical seminar is offered on a first-come-basis for a $50 enrollment fee, which covers the course materials, lunch and refreshments during the session. Anyone interested in signing up can call 508-351-1809 or by visiting the website and downloading the sign-up form to pre-register. Seating is limited and all previous sessions have sold out.

Peter Rhoten is one of the two presenters at the training seminar. He has directed operations and sales at Hope Air Systems for over 30 years. He has extensive experience providing training on system design, improved air quality and energy conservation. He has specific experience with over 300 installations of PET compressed air systems designed at built at Hope Air Systems, which have been installed worldwide.

The other presenter is Roy Stuhlman, VP Sales at Kaeser Compressors. Stuhlman is nationally recognized for his ability to provide in-depth training on all types of compressed air systems in a wide range of industries. He is a certified instructor for the US Dept. of Energy's Compressed Air Challenge and a certified KFaCT Master System Specialist.

The technical seminar is focused on practical information on how to improve system performance and reducing overall energy cost by eliminating or reducing wasteful leaks and pressure drops. Topics covered include, basics of compressed air, types of compressors, system layout design, systems controls, clean air treatment, equipment sizing and selection, air storage, measuring energy consumption, condensate management and controlling pressure drops.

The program begins at 7:30 AM with a continental breakfast and includes a morning and afternoon session that concludes at 4:30 PM. Lunch will be provided. For those attending from the South Shore area of Massachusetts, a free bus will be departing from the Foxboro MA area at 6:30 AM. The Hope Air Systems division began in the early 1970's and emerged over the ensuing 40 years as the premier supplier of rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors in New England. The company operated out of facilities in Fitchburg MA until its relocation during the 1980's to Northborough MA.

After its relocation to a newly constructed 60,000 sq ft warehouse, manufacturing and office complex in Northborough MA, The Hope Group continued its expansion with various acquisitions ultimately opening seven Parker Stores, which provided Hope Air Systems with distribution centers in nine locations in five New England states. Hope Air Systems secured the New England franchise for Kaeser Compressors in 2005 and has been the leading rotary screw compressor provider in the region.
