THG Corporation Employees Participate
In Local Community Service Programs
The employees of THG Corporation try to make a positive contribution to the communities in which they live and where possible the company assists in those efforts. Through donation of money, clothing and toys, as well as, volunteering time to help local agencies, the employees make a contribution to improved education, health and emergency services for families in local communities.
Day of Caring Program The employees of THG Corporation participate every year in the Day of Caring program sponsored by the United Way. The volunteers are released from work to spend a half-day or full day on special projects at United Way sponsored agencies. The volunteers have helped with painting projects and site clean-ups at such agencies as YOU, Inc., the YMCA/YWCA, the Ecotarium and the Audubon Sanctuary.
Community Blood Donor Program Since 1992, THG Corporation employees have been donating blood to the MetroWest Medical Center of Framingham, MA. Several times each year, the Medical Center sets up its program at the Northboro MA headquarters of The Hope Group so that employees can make a blood donation. A quick check of the records shows that our employees donated 455 units of blood in just the past four years.
United Way Annual Fund Drive The employees of the THG Corporation pledged a total of $13,359 to the annual United Way fund drive for 2006, which was 10 percent more than the announced goal for this year. The United Way supports many different local charities and agencies with an emphasis on helping people find jobs, build skills to meet basic needs and helping children with physical and emotional needs to succeed in school.
South Worcester Neighborhood Center Each Christmas season, for the past several years, the employees of THG Corporation collect new, unwrapped toys to be distributed by the South Worcester Neighborhood Center to needy families living in the City. The agency provides counseling, direct referrals and assistance to help families stay together, find jobs, housing and educational opportunities. Donations of food, clothing and toys make the holiday season a little more cheerful.
