THG Corporation to Celebrate
80th Anniversary in Business

Northborough, MA (11-02-2012) - Carey Rhoten, CEO of THG Corporation, today announced that in recognition of the company's 80th Anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2013, special recognition will be given to the people who made its success possible. Originally established to provide industrial rubber products for consumers and industry, the company expanded into fluid power products in 1960, compressed air systems in the 1970's and into hydro power in the 1980's through its acquisition of Sorensen Governor.

"We are excited about this unique opportunity to honor the memory of our parents, Doc and Elizabeth, who founded the company in 1933, little suspecting that we would become one of the leading independent industrial distributors and value-added manufacturers for industry in New England," said Carey Rhoten. "The 80th Anniversary is a significant milestone for the family and for the 120 employees that serve our customers from Maine to Rhode Island," he added.

According to Tony Cantone, President of The Hope Group LLC, one of the subsidiaries of THG Corporation, there will be a series of educational workshops and seminars throughout the year to be conducted by experts from Parker Hannifin, Kaeser Compressor and other manufacturers that are represented by The Hope Group. "The 80th Anniversary logo will decorate all of our promotional material, first as a tribute to our founders, but also to demonstrate to our customers that we have been around a long time and have plans to stay around for a lot longer," said Tony.
