Parker Selects The Hope Group To
Join Global Power Generation Team

Northborough, MA (12-17-2010) Tony Cantone, President of The Hope Group LLC, today announced that Parker Hannifin has selected The Hope Group as one of six North American distributors selected to join ranks with Parker's Global Power Generation Team. This initiative is designed to expand Parker's penetration into the power generation market through direct link-up with premier distributors from various parts of the United States.

The Hope Group is an authorized full-line distributor of Parker products in New England, with seven locations spread across four states. With this designation as a member of the Parker Global Power Generation Team it now has access to additional Parker resources targeted at meeting the needs of power generation customers throughout New England. According to Phil Lund, VP of The Hope Group for Hydraulics, the team of fluid power specialists assigned to the Power Generation team includes Paul Daniels, Ray McCann, Ron Ruel, and Brian Carey. Each sales engineer now has access to additional Parker resources including Aerospace, Instrumentation and Automation to complement their current Parker product lines of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Fluid Connectors, Seals, and Filtration.

Other Parker Distributors selected to become a part of the Parker Power Generation initiative are Allen-Orton, Spartanburg SC; Controlled Motion Solutions, Santa Ana, CA; Hydradyne Hydraulics, Harvey, LA; RG-Group, York, PA; and Team Technical Services, Tampa, FL. You may read more about the
Parker Power Generation initiative.

There are four targeted groups for the Global Power Generation Team: Combustion Turbine, Combined Cycle, Fossil Fuel and Nuclear power plants. The Hope Group has existing customers in these four target areas, plus a large number of successful system sales to the hydroelectric industry as well. The focus of the Power Generation team is the MRO requirements of power plant operators ranging from fluid monitoring to system upgrades for power units, pumping systems, expansion joints, inlet fogging systems, and emissions reduction.

Parker has a well-established reputation, built over the past 50 years, of expanding expertise in components and systems for fuel and water atomization, fuel controls, emission controls, and fluid condition monitoring. Together, with The Hope Group, Parker's goals are to increase power plant operation MW output, reduce operating costs, reduce maintenance costs, extend engine and component life, and lower emissions through improved fuel-burning efficiency.

Fully 80 percent of the domestic revenue for Parker flows through its Distributor network. As a $10 billion publicly-held corporation, residing as the 230th largest corporation on the New York Stock Exchange, Parker has an expectation that its Distributors would be proud of the association.

Our Triangle Logo Design
Represented 3 Companies

The corporate logo was developed in conjunction with a name change and the relocation to Central Massachusetts about 25 years ago. The triangle design reflected on the three divisions operating at the time, which included The Hope Group, Hope Air Systems and Sorensen Governor. Today, the Hope Air and Sorensen divisions are independent companies, having formed their own LLC’s, and all three companies are subsidiaries of THG Corporation. The logo continues to reflect the wide range of products, systems and engineered solutions provided by The Hope Group.
