The New England Parker Stores to Hold
Seminars on Specialized Technologies

Northborough, MA (11-19-2010) Tony Cantone, President of The Hope Group, today announced that in partnership with its principal supplier, Parker Hannifin, an all-day seminar focused on the latest in motion and control technologies will be offered this spring at one or more of its locations in New England.

The seminar will be offered in multiple sections focusing on the electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, process filtration, pneumatic automation and hydraulic plumbing technologies emerging in the mobile and industrial marketplace worldwide. Many of the Parker Store customers have expressed an interest in these emerging technologies.

"Our intention is to continue bringing the latest techniques in motion and fluid control technologies to our industrial, mobile, marine and process customers," said Cantone. The Hope Group sponsors seminars regularly, conducting many of them at its in-house training center in Northborough MA or its Leen Company location in Portland, Maine.

Some of the sections of the seminar series include Electro-Hydraulics, Hydraulic and Process Filtration and Hydraulic Plumbing for Zero Leakage, according to Phil Lund, Vice President for Hydraulics. "The Hope Group has partnered with Parker Hannifin for over 50 years, serving the motion and control requirements for the Marine, Mobile, Mining, Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, Food & Beverage, Life Sciences, Semiconductor and Defense industries," said Lund. "Our customers rely on us to bring the latest technologies to market and to instruct them on the benefits and efficiencies designed to meet their changing requirements," he added.

The Hope Group is a closely-held corporation established in 1933. Today it operates as an industrial distributor and motion and control custom machine control manufacturer serving the six New England states and worldwide for certain products. It operates six Parker Stores, one each in Bangor ME, Portland ME, Lewiston ME, Fitchburg MA, Manchester NH and Cranston RI. The Hope Group is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company.

The triangle design reflected on the three divisions operating at the time, which included The Hope Group, Hope Air Systems and Sorensen Governor. Today, the Hope Air and Sorensen divisions are independent companies, having formed their own LLC’s, and all three companies are subsidiaries of THG Corporation. The logo continues to reflect the wide range of products, systems and engineered solutions provided by The Hope Group.
