The Hope Group Publishes New Website
Promoting Its Six ParkerStores

Northborough, MA (01-20-2011) With the acquisition of its sixth ParkerStore, The Hope Group of Massachusetts has become the dominant source in New England for authorized Parker components and systems, according to President Tony Cantone. The existing website was redesigned and updated to represent all six Parker Stores operated by The Hope Group. In announcing the latest acquisition recently of Webster Engineering in Lewiston ME, Cantone said, "We are pleased to add the Lewiston ME location to our New England Parker Store family. The dedicated team of technicians and fabricators at our stores assures our customers of same day service for the repair of ruptured hydraulic hose assemblies and expert parts selection and assembly to meet critical mobile hydraulic and other industrial requirements," he added.

Motion and Control

"The Hope Group was founded as a distributor of rubber products for consumers and small businesses during the early years of the depression," said Wright. "Today, it has become a dominant player in the motion and control business in New England, backed by the strength and international presence of the $10 billion Parker company," he added. "Parker is best known for its aerospace and motion and control technologies, that are applied through its major core competencies in hydraulics, pneumatics, automation and instrumentation," he added.

The new website, www.TheParkerStore.com, features all six stores owned and operated by The Hope Group. The stores each carry an inventory of 3,000 parts and are staffed by factory-trained specialists who can help customers identify and select the correct hydraulic hose and fitting for their needs. In addition, the stores serve as distribution and sales hub for The Hope Group's outside sales force, which consists of 20 experienced sales engineers with specialties in fluid connectors, fluid power, motion and control technologies and sealing solutions.

Updated Website Launched

Wright stated that The Hope Group published its first website, www.TheHopeGroup.com, over 15 years ago, mostly as a brochure to let customers know what manufacturers and products it represented. About every five years since then, according to Wright, the website has undergone a complete makeover. The latest makeover of the website was uploaded on January 1, 2011, reflecting an increased commitment to making the website a source of education and information about the marketplace, the system solutions offered by the company and the depth and breadth of products available from Parker and other major manufacturers such as Balluff, Dixon, WAGO, IDEC, GE Intelligent Platforms, and many others.

TheParkerStore.com website provides specific information about the components and systems offered, as well as maps and directions to each location, contact information and links to product descriptions on vendor sites. It also provides links to Parker's Hose Finder "app" and links to Catalog and CAD drawing sources.

The Hope Group was founded in 1933 by the Rhoten family of Massachusetts. For the past 50 years it has been an authorized full-line Parker distributor, featuring hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, instrumentation, o-ring & sealing, and hose & fittings components and systems. From its 60,000 sq ft warehouse and manufacturing facility in Northborough MA, the company designs and builds custom machinery for the defense, semiconductor, marine, pulp & paper, mining, power generation, life sciences, and mobile hydraulics markets, according to Richard Wright, Marketing Manager for the parent company, THG Corporation.

Our Parker Partnership
Goes Back Over 50 Years

For over 50 years, The Hope Group has been associated with Parker Hannifin, the world's leading diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems. The new Parker Distributor logo was introduced recently and was designed to strengthen the relationship between the parent company and the authorized distributorships. Fully 80 percent of the domestic revenue for Parker flows through its Distributor network. As a $10 billion publicly-held corporation, residing as the 230th largest corporation on the New York Stock Exchange, Parker has an expectation that its Distributors would be proud of the association.

Our Triangle Logo Design
Represented 3 Companies

The corporate logo was developed in conjunction with a name change and the relocation to Central Massachusetts about 25 years ago. The triangle design reflected on the three divisions operating at the time, which included The Hope Group, Hope Air Systems and Sorensen Governor. Today, the Hope Air and Sorensen divisions are independent companies, having formed their own LLC’s, and all three companies are subsidiaries of THG Corporation. The logo continues to reflect the wide range of products, systems and engineered solutions provided by The Hope Group.
