Parker Sponsored Race Team
Wins Outlaw Championship
Cleveland OH (11-29-2006) Donny Schatz, driver of the Parker sponsored World of Outlaw sprint car was crowned series champion at the conclusion of the 69-race season, including a season-ending win at Las Vegas. His first championship, Schatz has driven with Parker sponsorship since 1999.
The ability to race sprint cars at lap speeds well into the 120 miles per hour range on a quarter-mile dirt oval is an engineering achievement. Schatz attributed a lot of his success to his team mates and to his sponsors. Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, provides both financial and product support to the Schatz racing team. The ParkerStores have been the primary sponsor with Donny Schatz since 1999.
Parker products are used on the fuel, oil and air systems aboard the trailer to provide multiple race necessities. All compressed air for tools used on the race car passes through Parker conditioning filters to remove contaminants and water. Compressed air for the tires is transformed into more consistent and cooler running nitrogen, thanks to a Parker nitrogen generator.
All the fluid connectors, quick couplings and hose products are Parker’s. Plus fuel and water separators with built-in heaters and cleanable oil filtration systems keep the diesel rig running on time for the busy and demanding race schedule.
Brad Fischer, Global Retail Operations Manager for Parker said, “Teams of this caliber depend on high quality products and service. Our relationship with them has been a winning combination, just as ParkerStores creates a winning combination with our customers to help them improve their business,” he added.
