The Hope Group and Parker to Sponsor Two Technical Seminars at The Leen Co.

Northborough, MA (04-24-2012) – Randy Roy, VP of Operations for THG Corporation, today announced that as part of the Grand Opening celebrating the relocation of The Leen Company to South Portland, a special Open House and Technical Training Seminar has been scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2012. The seminar will be the first help at the company’s new location at 5 Wallace Avenue, South Portland ME. Customers have been invited to sign up to attend one or both of the training seminars.

Thread ID Training

Certified trainers from Parker and The Leen Company will lead a class consisting of instruction and hands-on training to learn about various sealing methods common to hydraulics and to gain a working knowledge of the four-step process necessary to identify threads.

Although Metric, British, SAE, and NPT are all common thread patterns found in today’s industrial workplace, they are often a mystery to many people. This interactive course combines classroom instruction with practical hands-on training. This course is for owner/operators, designers, repair technicians, engineers, and safety managers.

Safety Works Training

The Safety Works seminar promotes awareness of the importance of following proper practices and maintaining safe conditions with regard to pressurized fluid systems. Certified trainers from Parker and The Leen Company will lead a class on how to avoid injection injuries and the importance of timely treatment should an injection occur. Participants will learn the five-step process for correct hose selection, the importance of proper hose assembly and routing guidelines to help prevent premature system failures. This course is for equipment operators, repair technicians, safety managers, engineers and anyone working with pressurized fluid or systems in motion.

Open House and Trade Show

As part of the Open House on May 24, 2012, a Trade Show Exhibit will feature the latest Parker products from the Hydraulics, Automation, and Fluid Connectors Groups. On exhibit will be information about Parker cylinders, valves, hose assemblies, hose crimpers, pneumatic fittings, tube fittings, quick disconnects, seals, and other Parker products.

The schedule for the Open House and Technical Seminars begins with Doors Open at 8AM. The Thread ID Seminar starts at 8:30 AM followed by a Free Lunch Buffet at 12 Noon. The Safety Works Seminar begins at 1:30 PM. The Trade Show Exhibit will run from 9 AM to 4PM.
