THG Corporation of Massachusetts today announced that it had successfully operated its eCommerce website, HopeDirect.com, for one full year. The company launched the eCommerce website in 2014 to offer $150 million of Parker Hannifin hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid connector components direct to its customers, which are principally located in the six New England states. To date, the company has found that the eCommerce features are easy to use and that customers welcome the option of buying in the streamlined manner offered by eCommerce.

Easy Part Look-up

For those customers who prefer to order online and pay with a credit card this eCommerce service is ideal. According to Tony Cantone, President of The Hope Group, many customers have asked for a quick look-up and order system – and the HopeDirect.com website was the result. The online parts ordering service permits look-up by Parker part number or product category.

Once the product is found, the customer can see price, lead time for delivery, and place the item in the “Mini-Cart”. The available online inventory exceeds $150 million of Parker parts and undoubtedly puts more industrial product available on a one-day or two-day delivery basis than any other supplier source in the country, according to Cantone.

Great Benefit for Current Hope Group customers

All existing customers will have orders fulfilled by The Hope Group through HopeDirect.com or by one of its associated distributors around the country if The Hope Group does not have exactly what’s needed. Current Hope Group customers will see prices consistent with their current discounts at check-out, according to Randy Roy, VP of Operations for THG Corporation.

“Our customers won’t have to wait to call one of our eight branch locations to place an order; they can log on 24 hours a day and their order will be confirmed and shipped the next day,” said Randy. Based on a survey of its customers, 64 percent have stated that they will buy online from The Hope Group now that it has an eCommerce website. “For us, this means our current customers, as well as new customers, will benefit from this comprehensive eCommerce feature of The Hope Group,” said Richard Wright, THG Corporation Marketing Manager.

Parker Stores Continue

The Hope Group’s seven Parker Stores are ready to help customers with an immediate need for a replacement hose assembly as usual. But, now there is another option to get the parts needed. HopeDirect.com offers Parker hose & fittings, hydraulic and pneumatic components, valves, and filtration. More products will be added continuously. Customers may pay for the items in their “Mini-Cart” with a credit card, or if they have an active account with The Hope Group they can log in and buy at their discounted rates. Any store manager can help customers learn how easy it is to order directly through HopeDirect.com.

Associated Distributors

One of the reasons the eCommerce website, HopeDirect.com, operated by The Hope Group is so powerful is its association with other leading Parker distributors around the country. The group, known as DistraNet, has electronically linked its inventory of Parker parts so that each has access to everyone’s total inventory. This brings $150 million of Parker parts direct to the customer. The DistraNet group operates PartsGopher.com, which allows anyone in the country to access the DistraNet inventory, while HopeDirect.com does that plus extends the earned discount to its customers. The best service and price is available at HopeDirect.com.
